We got to Minneapolis safe and sound. Got a great night of sleep and on wednesday afternoon I took erika and hannah to visit my alma matter. It was a great time and all of us were REALLY IMPRESSED. 20 years made a LOT of changes. Here was Maddy, our tour guide, with the kids.
We stopped briefly at this little park in wisconsin. Here is the view from the bluff afer a nice climb. All the kids really wanted to do was get to MN and see the grandparents. The kids really are great travelers.
We left on tuesday at 5 am in the morning so we could get through Chicago.
We finally got to Valpo at about 4:30 am after a rather gruelling drive. Here monica is relaxing on Monday morning trying to recover. Cute legs! We spent the later afternoon at the beach on lake michigan. Very fun to be with my brother Harlan, wife Jenny and their son Soren.
After the great send off by the congregation we finally got off about 3 pm. At the first rest stop I decided the lawn looked like a beautiful bed. I lay down and felt a slight cool dampness. When I got up though everyone was laughing as my entire backside was a muddy mess. Had to change in the bathroom. Erica here holds the exhibit!
